Remember the skepticism I exhibited when reporting rumors that the next Assassin’s Creed would take place mostly on the open seas and star swashbucklers? Well, I was clearly wrong.
Not long after the initial leak began making the rounds, the existence of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was more or less confirmed when someone uncovered a countdown page before it was set to go live. And then the following trailer was leaked…
Followed by a second clip, again set loose ahead of schedule…
Now I’m beginning to suspect that all these leaks are simply part of Ubisoft’s marketing machine. At any rate, mums still the word on game, which is expected to be announced any minute now.
Remember, today is the day in which promotional material is supposed to go up on store shelves; guess we’ll all find out later today, at least those of us stopping by our local GameStops during lunch.
