This live-action ‘Streets of Rage’ short has traces of ‘Oldboy’

By / 02.05.13

In the sense that this live-action Streets of Rage short is a long ass fight scene, shot in one single take.

Granted, the guy portraying Adam here is no Oh Dae-su, not that I wouldn’t be equally exhausted after dealing with the ninth or so consecutive street punk (plus it’s much longer than the one scene in the Korean cinematic classic).

And the music in this fan flick is not nearly as catchy as it was in the original game, but otherwise, the following is a pretty neat watch…

Sadly, taken completely out of context, the ending comes off a tad bit on the racist side. But trust me, everyone enjoys a healthy chicken meal found in a garbage after beating up women in the game. Even the playable female character!
