So the new Sim City had a midnight launch, and many people stayed up to download and play the thing. Unfortunately, many were unable to, like the rotund Internet personality who goes by the name Francis.
First, let’s take a look at the reboot…
Looks great, doesn’t it? And given that it’s been literally ten years since the last installment, anticipation has been high. Unfortunately the publisher is EA, which has an established track record for ruining great games with needless b.s.
Whereas Real Racing 3 was saddled with idiotic micros-transactions, Sim City has been burdened by the requirement of always having to be online, despite being mostly a single player affair. One can only imagine how EA’s servers will handle that, given how no one could even download the game in the first place. Which mostly sucks for those who pre-ordered it well in advance…
Apparently, over twelve hours later, and people still can’t download the game, and those who have… surprise… can’t start a game. Anyhow, real quick, here’s Francis reacting to the PS4 reveal…
