‘Halo 4′ has come to iOS, seriously

By 11.01.12

Thanks to the holy trifecta of Mountain Dew, Doritos, and 7-Eleven.

The full title is Halo 4: King of the Hill Powered by Mountain Dew (yes, Mountain Dew is part of the name) and it arrived in the New Zealand iTunes App Store last night, with the American version landing sometime later today, presumably…

And as you can, it’s just like Halo, but on the iPhone! Except for the part in which one gets bullets by scanning Mountain Dew and Doritos bar codes at 7-Eleven. Great. And also hanging around the store to play against other players. Yay.

I often find myself saying that every day that passes looks and feels more like the world laid out in Robocop (the Paul Verhoeven original, obviously). Well, now it feels like we’re all living in an episode of Futurama as well.

About Matt Hawkins... Matt Hawkins is an NYC based video game journalist, designer, consultant, and cultralist. He's been published in EGM, Kotaku, and MSNBC amongst others. Matt also makes comics and zines, is obsessed with cable access, gets into arguments with homeless people all the time, and once had his nipple bitten off during a one night stand. But that's neither here nor there.
