WWE Wikipedia pages lead the pack on list of ‘100 most-edited’ articles ever

Wikipedia is the go-to source for information in 2014.

It’s not always correct but it’s updated frequently with countless people checking each entry. With so many fingers and keyboards touching the product, it would make sense that some pages get revised more frequently than others. Factor in the pages dedicated to still-living individuals, brands or television shows who get Wikipedia revisions multiple times each week.

Wikipedia makes the revision history available to the common user. The crew at FiveThirtyEight crunched some numbers (so we didn’t have to) and compiled a list of the one hundred most frequently revised Wikipedia pages. The WWE leads the pack with eight different pages getting over 15K edits since their initial publication date.

The WWE Wikipedia page dedicated to a list of WWE personnel is the second most revised page ever, right behind former president George W. Bush.

Here are the eight most-edited WWE Wikipedia articles ever along with the number of times they’ve been revised.

List of WWE Personnel — 38, 158 revisions
The Undertaker — 20,763 revisions
Kane — 17,968 revisions
WWE — 16,967 revisions
John Cena — 16,733 revisions
WWE Raw — 15,549 revisions
Triple H — 15,363 revisions
Edge — 15,263 revisions

The list isn’t shocking but some of the names not included near the top — names like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Hulk Hogan — is a surprise.
