We post our fair share of badass wingsuit base jumping videos around here. But here's proof of just how extremely dangerous this sport is. At this past weekend's annual Bridge Day 2011 on the New River Gorge, Christopher Ryan Brewer from Pensacola, Florida plummeted off the 876 foot bridge after failing to deploy his parachute in time. He's in critical condition after striking the water at a speed between 60 and 80 mph and sustaining spinal cord, pelvic and lung injuries. Thoughts and prayers to Brewer and his family.
