Barcelona and Real Madrid are mortal enemies, so it’s only natural that Lionel Messi tried to one-up Cristiano Ronaldo in the amazing-goal department yesterday. The diminutive lefty curved a free kick into the upper 90 to give Barca a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid. Amazing placement to be sure, but I’m not entirely sure the defense was ready. Incredible nonetheless.
