Friends and competitors gathered at last night's Winter X Games to hold a candlelight vigil for freeskiing legend Sarah Burke, who died tragically last week. They then skied down a darkened Buttermilk SuperPipe together to the base.
Burke was instrumental in getting halfpipe skiing included into the Winter Olympics. She would have been the odds-on favorite to win the gold medal when the sport makes its debut in the 2014 Games.
Very moving tribute for an unforgettable athlete gone too soon.
