Unless you currently go to school in Indianapolis, odds are you've never heard of Alex Barlow. He's a walk-on sophomore who's averaged just 0.8 points per game at Butler, and, needless to say, he didn't have Coach K and Roy Williams knocking down his door in high school.

But Barlow plays at Butler, which lately has found an unbelievable knack for upsetting their higher-ranked opponents. So when he hit a runner with 2.3 seconds left last night, he was just fullfilling the typical Hollywood ending to a Butler game (as every hack sportswriter in the country seems to normally write when Butler does this once a year).

After the Bulldogs managed to stop Indiana from running off one of those "Holy Shit How the Fuck Did They Just Go Up 20 on Carolina" scoring sprees in the first half, the two teams came out in the second trading blows and never allowing the other to open a commanding lead. Then, with Butler up three with just a few seconds left, Indiana freshman Yogi Ferrell knocked down a game-tying 3-pointer that sent the game into overtime.

The Bulldogs at that point had had two of their best players foul out, and they were forced to shuttle in players like Barlow who receive limited minutes, at best. No matter: The game stayed tight, the score moved to 86-86 with 19.3 seconds left, and Bro of the Week nominee Mr. Barlow hit his runner that ultimately would give Butler the win. Best college basketball game of the year—bar none.

But the cloud over the proceedings for most of you? After Indiana's fall, Duke will now be the No. 1 team in the country. (Hey, I think I remember someone saying that a few weeks ago...)
