There's no way to ignore the big news of the day. This is really serious, repuslive stuff. On Thursday evening news broke that long-time Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine is currently under investigation for allegedly mol*sting two former ball boys. He's been placed on an administrative leave from Syracuse. Jim Boeheim, meanwhile, is supporting Fine, told Pete Thamel at the New York Times: "There’s absolutely no way that I believe any of this could possibly have happened. That’s the bottom line." Read about the latest sickening college sports scandal here, here, and here. Here's a link to another interview with Boeheim, where he accuses the accuser of wanting money. Thoughts obviously go to the victims, first. Second reaction, considering what just happened at Penn State over the past two weeks: What. the. f*ck, college sports?
One of the alleged victim, Bobby Davis, now 39, talked to ESPN's Outside the Lines last evening. Here's a video of that interview. It's really, really tough to stomach. The investigation is ongoing, but, much like the situation at Penn state -- which was also "ongoing" -- will there be similar cries for Boeheim's head like there were for Paternos? Sound off with your own reactions in the comments.
