One of the dirtier hockey maneuvers you'll see in quite sometime. Actually, given the impending lockout, perhaps the only one.
After a few years of playing the NHL's version constant new kid whose parent's are always getting relocated and ends up moving like five months after he got there, Joakim Lindstrom settled down in his native Sweden. Judging by this brutal head-slam takedown of Linue Klasen however, Lindstrom may not want to get too comfortable on the ice.
It's easy to miss on first look (watch the beginning twice), but this is something that would clearly give Barry Melrose a lot more airtime than usual, complete with weird twitter comments about how Lindstrom doesn't deserve to play hockey anymore. Klasen suffered a concussion from the incident, but reports are that he'll be back on the ice sooner rather than later.
And right in front of the ref? C'mon, son.
