Members of the Southern Miss band have staked their claim as the NCAA tournament’s biggest losers less than two hours into the three-week event thanks to this racist chant directed at Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez. Reporters tweeted that the group was chanting “where’s your green card” at the Wildcat player as he stepped to the foul line in the first half.

Rodriguez came to America as a 15-year-old who spoke no English and assimilated himself rapidly enough to handle the course load at a university. But why focus on how amazing that is when you could be a ignorant member of the herd, right?
