Sidney Crosby can’t catch a break. Playing in just his ninth game since a prolonged absence due to concussions, the Pittsburgh Penguins star was struck in the face with a puck last night. Less than two minutes into the second period, New York Islanders defenseman Dylan Reese attempted to clear his own zone, but ended up firing the puck right into Crosby’s grill.

There was a significant amount of blood and Crosby went to the locker room for treatment. He’s a hockey player, though, so he returned to the game.
