Here on the East Coast, I'm still wearing shorts, even with the trees in their usual blaze of mid-October technicolor. However, over the weekend western Colorado got a 44-plus inch dumping of sweet POW. Wolf Creek near Durango became the first resort to open for the 2011-2012  season. Better yet, a group of powder junkies from Unofficial Networks headed into the backcountry to shred chutes near Telluride. And, yes, both events were doc*mented. Who's ready for winter?!
