If tossing the ball over the backboard and catching it out of bounds was a method of scoring in the NBA, Nick Young of the Washington Wizards would be an All Star.

Young and the Wizards were taking on the Los Angeles Lakers last night when he pulled off this amazingly horrible shot. Young received a pass and had an open court layup all to himself, but lost the ball and it sailed over the backboard and out of bounds. It takes a certain amount of skill to miss the rim and the entire backboard when you're a mere 6-inches away.
