Evan van der Spuy is a South African mountain biker who rides for Team Jeep South Africa. During a recent race at the Albert Falls Dam and Game Reserve in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, Spuy had an only-in-South-Africa type of encounter when he was laid out by a Red Hartebeest running in full sprint. Fun fact: Red Hartebeests can run up to 40 m.p.h.! Fake viral ad? Maybe. Or maybe not, since it shows what Spuy's helmet looked like after the collision with the 300 pound cloven-hoof. And that poor Hatebeest's moan afterwards! Also, while we're at it, at least one site is reporting he went to the hospital with a stiff neck. The footage must be seen to be believed.
Hey: Sometimes you've got to run like an antelope, out of control.
