To keep things interesting between action on the field during NFL games teams recruit sexy, leggy women to parade on the sidelines to captivate male spectators. But what if there was a male cheerleader?
Meet Sacha Heppell, a Colorado man with dreams of becoming an NFL cheerleader. There has never been a male cheerleader in the National Football League, but that didn't stop Sacha from trying out. Heppell danced off against more than 200 women at the Denver Broncos and the Denver Outlaw cheerleader tryouts on Sunday.
"It's huge. I'm excited, totally thrilled," Heppell told Colorado news station KUSA before his audition. "No male has ever made it through auditions. I don't even know if a male even made it to the auditions." The limber young man admitted that he "messed up a few times," which is expected from someone who has only been dancing for about two months.
As you can see from the footage from the first round of the tryouts, there will not be a male cheerleader for the Denver Broncos next season because Heppell was cut, however he said that he is going to practice throughout the year and he will try again next year.
