Lionel Messi scored his 233rd goal with Barcelona this afternoon in a 5-3 victory over Granada to break the club’s all-time scoring record. The mark was previously held by Cesar Rodriguez, who played for the Catalonian powerhouse from 1942-1955. Messi’s record-breaker was predictably divine – a brilliantly timed chip shot with impeccable touch, like so many of his previous goals. It was his second of three goals on the day as he continued his incredible spate of scoring.
