Kobe Bryant may not play in the NBA after the 2014 season, but even with retirement in sight (and while playing with a totally reconstructed right knee), he showed he's still got the hops of a much younger man at a Lakers practice yesterday.
In the above video taken by an onlooker, Bryant throws down two huge dunks, including a jam that would posterize Antawn Jamison if anyone still bought posters of dunks anymore. He looks good, and the Lakers should be a frightening, frightening team this year.
But here's what you should be left wondering after watching the video: How the hell will Kobe handle retirement? You're looking at a guy who has been competitive almost to a fault his entire career. He's dunking on a new teammate here just for shits and giggles. Will this man actually be able to quit the game? Will he attempt to make a couple of comebacks like M.J.? Will he try to throw himself into a business career like Magic? Will he go in disguise at YMCAs across the country and school poor average Joes playing on their lunch breaks? That seems plausible. At least more plausible than the Laker playing golf everyday.
