Joe Mikulik is a minor league baseball manager with the ability to throw a big-league tantrum. You probably remember him as the guy who dove into, and then stole second base after arguing an umpire’s call in 2006.
He hasn’t changed a bit since that meltdown. We have video proof.
The Asheville Tourists skipper became so displeased by yet another umpire in a recent game against the Charleston RiverDogs that he took third base and handed it to a fan. Guy’s got a shtick, huh?
For the record, I completely support this. Anything to get the asses in the seats in the low minor leagues. Gotta keep that slice of Americana alive.
