Nobody wants to be in Blake Griffin's highlight reel or poster, but Jason Smith made sure that he would not be dunked on by the Blake Show.

New Orleans Hornets big man Jason Smith saw Griffin prepping for takeoff on lane #1 and decided that he was going to ground his flight. Smith lowered his shoulder and maliciously body-checked Griffin on to the floor with 4:06 left in the game. Smith received a Flagrant 2 foul, and was automatically ejected from the game. Plus Smith will most definitely be suspended by David Stern. Thankfully Griffin was not injured and played the final four minutes.

Someone should examine Smith's bank account to see if he has received any checks from Sean Payton or the New Orleans Saints. 

It's quite possible that this monster putback slam caused Smith to not want to be victimized like Chris Kaman was.
