When he's not busy flexin' to the left, throwin' money out his hands, Washington Wizards guard and former first overall pick John Wall has been known to be pretty damn good at basketball. Knowing this, high schooler Tyrek Coger of Upper Room Christian Academy thought it wise to challenge Wall to a little game of one-on-one.
What ensued played out similarly to what would happen if a high schooler cockily challenged an NBA player.
To be totally fair to Coger, he actually held his own. He exhibits solid range, and for the most part, is athletic enough not to be completely embarassed. The real glaring difference here however, is defense. Wall plays chest-to-chest, his lateral movement synchronized with each and every dribble. Coger, on the other hand, looks like someone who thinks he's too good to play defense, and then plays one on one against John Wall.
There's no question that Tyrek Coger has a lot to learn. Next time, I'd deem it wise for this young fella to check his ego at the locker room door.
