An eighth grade basketball team in Georgia developed a very elaborate tribute to their team manager. At the start of the fourth quarter in a recent game, Victory Creek and their Pinehurst opponents took the court in wheelchairs as a nod to Joseph Brunelle, who was born with spina bifida.
They then invited Brunelle to play with them. To no one’s surprise, he dominated since he, you know, has played wheelchair basketball his whole life. The manager-turned-player finished with 8 points and a deep sense of appreciation.
Take that, J-Mac.
