This is beyond bizarre. To promote an upcoming spin-off movie, the super-creepy girl from “The Ring” threw out the first pitch at a Japanese baseball game. Everything about this confuses me. The umpire is stationed behind the pitcher’s mound, a mascot is calling balls and strikes, there’s a batter in the box, and the catcher sets up on the outside corner after flashing her signs.

Oh, yeah, and she ceremonially dies after looping a throw in there.

All told, it’s still a better effort than Baba Booey.
