While releasing his new shoe yesterday, Derrick Rose broke down when trying to answer a question on how his fans have helped him recover from last season's ACL tear. It was an emotional moment from a basketball player who really does seem to care. 

And without reading too much into the situation, you have to think that Chicago's massive problems right now—from the summer's shootings to the current teacher's strike—may be weighing on a guy who is the most famous and popular face of his city.
