OK, look: I have to get something off my chest here for a second. I'm pretty excited for Movember. And you should be pumped, too, for all the right reasons. Here's why: First of all, I absolutely f*cking hate prostate cancer. More than anything. It's a horrible disease that ravages all too many great men's lives. It ranks up there on the list of things every man should hate with terrorism and... well, I can't think of anything worse. Not even Ed Hardy or hipster-ism can be lumped in the same category of awfulness.
Second, I'm stoked to, for the first time in my 25-plus years on the planet, rock a 'stache for a month for a great cause. In previous years, I've only supported the cause by doing the whole "No Shave November" thing, so going full Burt Reynolds with the flavor savor is pretty big facial hair step for me. I'm committed, baby. Anyway, as you may recall, yesterday we did a little exclusive with Redskins RB Tim Hightower regarding his lip sweater. Today our friends at the American Mustache Institute sat down with Redskins TE Chris Cooley to discuss his whisker biscuit.
Also, while we're at it: The American Mustache Institute is having it's annual Movember Gala benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong in Chicago on Friday, October 28. If you're in Chicago, you should be there. It's at Joe’s Bar on Weed St. Tickets are only $25 and its for a great cause -- giving a big, resounding "f*ck you" to prostate cancer. ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT HERE. Bring your best mustache, too.
And f*ck prostate cancer. Seriously.
