The Wisconsin basketball coach is blocking Jarrod Uthoff, a 6’8” redshirt freshman, from transferring to 25 schools. He’s taking a beating in the court of public opinion, with many pointing to it as yet another example of how student-athletes are just pawns in the NCAA’s money-grabbing end game. He appeared on ESPN radio’s “Mike and Mike” this morning to explain why he’s not the bad guy. Spoiler alert: he still sort of seems like the bad guy.

Uthoff, a former Mr. Basketball in the state of Iowa, is appealing the restrictions and had a meeting with Wisconsin administration this morning.
