  • First off, Ole Miss has to be up there with one of the most attractive campuses I have seen, with huge brick-column buildings and massive oak trees everywhere the campus. Everything is primped and pristine wherever you look. For the past few years all I have heard is "you have to hit The Grove at Ole Miss if you want to experience a real tailgate." Though every "tailgate" is different — from all-day raves (RIP Duke) to  frat parties to setting up in parking lots and fields — The Grove at Ole Miss shows the elegant and sophisticated side of tailgating. Families and alumni head back into town to set up elaborate tailgates under tents, with generators, lights, TVs, and, of course, mounds of delicious BBQ, with the families' best china to eat it all off of. The Southern Hospitality is also in full effect, and people welcome you into their tents to try their families' signature recipes. And then there's the weird drinking rules.

Beer is not allowed in The Grove, as it is alcohol, and Ole Miss is a dry campus. Ironically, though, liquor is a "spirit" and not alcohol... Yeah, we are still trying to figure out how this worked out too. So instead of 30 racks and kegs, you will find bottomless amounts of bourbon and other "spirits" in coolers all over The Grove. Guys dress anywhere from jacket and tie to Ole Miss-branded polo shirts and pants, and the girls were absolute smoke shows in blue and red dresses.

Ole Miss started off with a 7-0 lead, but the Crimson Tide got rolling and didn't look back, putting up 52 points against their SEC rival. [AG's note: I think you might be bringing bad luck to all these home teams, ABC!] This wasn't a huge problem for the Ole Miss fans, because as we heard all day, "We might not win the game, but we never lose the party."

The Ole Miss tailgating scene has been on the map for a long time, constantly rated as one of the top tailgate spots in the country, and is coincidentally showcased today in the New York Times. They must have known we were in town this past weekend...

Thanks to everyone who came by our tent this weekend and participated in the Bonobos Corn Toss and the CampusLIVE Tailgate Challenge. Check out pictures of our incredible weekend down in Oxford, MS and a video of the Walk of Champions in the slideshow above.

Also, check back later for pictures of our rave party at Pike Friday night with DJ Yoni Einhorn...
