Can we get a loud, boitrous round-of-applause for the Boston College Eagles? Today BC takes on the Maryland in some snazzy new patriotic uniforms. Under Armour hooked the Eagles up with Freedom Initiative Uniforms to show homage to the Armed Forces and raise support for the Wounded Warrior Project. Here's a few more details via Complex:
Boston College and Hawaii will both hit the field in the patriotic uniforms, developed to raise awareness and support of United States military personal and public safety officers. The uniforms feature distinct, flag-inspired detailing to jersey and pant, with additional accents on custom cleats, gloves, and helmets. Boston College will wear the uniform against the University of Maryland on October 27, with Hawaii sporting the unique kit against UNLV on November 24.
The jerseys will be auctioned after the respective games with 100% of the proceeds going to WWP. With a mission of honoring and empowering injured service members, the Wounded Warrior Project assists in the creation of unique, direct programs for injured soldiers.
I love these. If I had any allegiance at all to Boston College and a little disposable income, I would gladly shell out the cash for one of these. Your thoughts in the comments.
