After hitting a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning against the Cincinnati Reds, Puig dramatically flipped his bat and slid into home plate like a Little Leaguer.

The young Cuban explained his decision to get down.

''Each player does what he can when he gets to the plate. Some people jump, some people slide, some people run,'' Puig said through a translator. ''I have a previous teammate in Cuba that jumped and hurt his ankle. So I decided to slide.''

No one’s ever going to accuse this guy of being boring.
