Nick Mangold’s cheap shot on Aqib Talib led to a mini-brawl at the end of last night’s Jets-Pats game. With :38 seconds left, Talib picked off a Geno Smith pass and headed out of bounds. That’s when Mangold Ndamukong Suh’d on him, diving at his knees.

D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Willie Colon were both ejected in the ensuing meleee. The latter for running over a ref.
Mangold was penalized for the late hit, but not thrown out. Talib was uninjured.
So how hard does the NFL come down on Mangold? This is far, far worse than the Ndamukong Suh low block, which at the very least came on the field of play. Mangold’s hit was not only late, but disgustingly low. Lower than Suh’s.
The intent seems clear—to injure.
Does he get slapped with a $100k fine? Does Jeff Saturday spend 15 minutes on ESPN calling the Jets organization dirty?
