Tuesday AM Weather report: It's colder than Amy Winehouses' mooseknuckles here in NYC and last night's snow will surely turn to some sort of slushy, icy glaze later this morning. It's hardly ideal snow for skiing, but damn if a western mountain town alumnus/ski bum at heart like myself doesn't wish he was waking up to carve out some virgin tracks in the morning. In the meantime, this stunning tilt-shift video of Canada's Whistler-Blackcomb Resort will have to satisfy the urge, at least until I find myself in a lift line later this season. The viral ad spot for Whistler-Blackcomb does a fantastic job capturing the bustle of winter resort life, minus chairlift attendants hitting a chillum on their lunch breaks or groups of weekend warriors hot-boxing a gondola. Also missing: Hook-ups with cougars, but I'm not really sure how you can capture that on film in minature form. Enjoy.
If you're a skier/snowboarder stuck in an office or a classroom or whatever, you can't tell me that doesn't make you want to strap in and shred some knee deep freshis on a back bowl. Now go forth and live the dream, kids.
