Here Are Our Week 7 NFL Quick Picks Against the Spread

I’m heavily involved in a friend’s wedding this weekend, so I’m going to keep things relatively brief. I’ll add that I’m now 7-0 on Thursday night games, so make sure to bet your future child’s college fund or your rent money on those picks. They’re gold Jerry, gold…

Locks of the Week:

BALTIMORE -6.5 over Atlanta

The Ravens were my survivor pick of the week. The explanation is included here and continues for the spread.

Kyle’s pick: WEST Baltimore

CHICAGO -3 over Miami

I’m still not buying this Miami team despite how they almost beat Green Bay at home last week. Their only win in the last four games was against Oakland. Color me not impressed.

Kyle’s pick: Chicago

DETROIT -3.5 over New Orleans

The Saints just aren’t what they used to be. Their defense is atrocious and their offense isn’t clicking even if Jimmy Graham suits up.

Kyle’s pick: Detroit

Trap Game of the Week:

Kansas City +4.5 over SAN DIEGO

The Chargers have been dominating opponents. The Chiefs are feisty and hung around against San Francisco and Denver sandwiched around a win over New England. It’s just not a home game for KC so you can’t be too confident.

Kyle’s pick: Kansas City

Rest of the Picks:

BUFFALO -3.5 over Minnesota

Minnesota’s only positive offensive performance in recently memory was against a beaten down Atlanta defense. They need to show me something.

Kyle’s pick: Buffalo

Carolina +7.5 over GREEN BAY

This should be a shootout. If Cam Newton plays like he did last week (and he seems to be healthy now), then they’ll cover this regardless of how bad their defense plays. The pick reverses if Kelvin Benjamin doesn’t play because of a concussion.

Kyle’s pick: Carolina

Cleveland -5.5 over JACKSONVILLE

The Browns are rolling, so let’s hope they don’t have a letdown game. The  Jaguars are currently leading the public opinion for worst team after passing Oakland last week.

Kyle’s pick: Jacksonville

Seattle -6.5 over ST. LOUIS

Expect a big effort from the Seahawks after they look to redeem themselves from last week’s embarrassing home loss.

Kyle’s pick: Seattle

 INDIANPOLIS -3.5 over Cincinnati

The Bengals’ defense is cracking at the wrong time. The Colts are rolling offensively right now.

Kyle’s pick: Indianapolis

WASHINGTON -4.5 over Tennessee

Speaking of cracking defenses, here we have two. Tennessee’s pass defense numbers are overrated if you look at who they’ve played. The Redskins should be able to win this track meet.

Kyle’s pick: Washington

Arizona -3.5 over OAKLAND

The Cardinals are a different team with Carson Palmer at quarterback. They also lead the NFC West right now…

Kyle’s pick: Arizona

N.Y. Giants +5.5 over DALLAS

The Giants aren’t as bad as they were last week and the Cowboys aren’t as good. Call this a regression to the mean game.

Kyle’s pick: Dallas

DENVER -6.5 over San Francisco

San Francisco is experiencing some injuries on defense and facing Peyton Manning is the wrong time to deal with that.

Kyle’s pick: Denver

Houston +3.5 over PITTSBURGH

Houston gets a little extra time to prepare for this one and the Steelers clearly aren’t as good as they’re historically known to be.

Kyle’s pick: Pittsburgh
