Sure, the OHL, CHL, and WHL contain perhaps the most elite junior hocey players, but the USHL is a breeding ground for top NCAA players. It's a league where players can actually earn a scholarship and degree. Here's a video of Muskegon Lumberjacks defenseman Travis Walsh scoring a game-winning shootout goal in truly impressive fashion. He does a combination of moves that usually only work out once in practice.
It's further evidence of the future of NCAA and USHL hockey. Slowly, more players are coming up through the ranks and making a bid to play in the show later. They might pack less gagger lips of Grizzly than the OHL, but salute Tier I US Hockey.
