Hayden Weichers, a red-shirt freshman wide receiver at Utah State, has been suspended indefinitely from the team for “alleged” red-light-related activities — AKA he tried to solicit a prosty.
According to SI.com:
While the press release from Utah State University did not elaborate on which rules were violated, Chief Gary Jensen, Logan City Police Department, has confirmed to FOX 13 News that Weichers was arrested on October 22 on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute.
“You know, as a teammate we’re going to wrap our arms around him and love him,” sophomore center Austin Stephens said to the Deseret News.
So he tried to buy himself a hooker. Which wouldn’t be so bad, because boys will be boys and shit, but…PLOT TWIST: According to Wiechers’ Facebook page, he is engaged! Yep, he has a fiancé…and not being on the football team for the next few months is likely the least of his misery.
