Usian Bolt Revealed His Training Diet And He’s Got The Eating Habits Of 50-Year-Old Accountant

For the past few months, GQ magazine has been highlighting the eating habits of the world’s most impressive athletes. The magazine has featured a 300 pound NFL vegan, an ultra-marathoner who once ate an entire pizza in the middle of a race and a sumo wrestler who eats an INSANE amount of food.

Today, GQ’s featured athlete is the world’s fastest man. Usian Bolt is a freak of nature. He’s absurdly fast. His body is machine. A person would naturally assume such a machine is feed only the best foods. Not exactly. The guy lives off egg sandwiches, pasta and corned beef.

Now I realize the guy just works out all day, mostly running, and probably burns it all off before he’s even done eating but this doesn’t exactly look like the diet of the world’s most impressive athlete.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Lunch: Pasta and corned beef

Throughout the day: Mango, pineapple and apples.

Dinner: Jamaican dumplings, roasted chicken

I know a couple UPS drivers who eat the exact same meal. The funniest thing about all this is Bolt has his own cook who prepares these meals. He must not live near any diners.

“When you start with a coach and there’s a weight you need to stay at, and every day you have to weigh yourself and watch what you eat. When you get your cravings you just have to look the other way. That’s the hardest part.”
And most common craving? “Hot wings,” he says. “That’s the biggest craving that I have, all the time.”

So it looks like the biggest threat to Bolt’s career will be sodium.
