Here is the USA’s Preliminary 30-Man Roster for the World Cup

The U.S. was given an absolute bitch of a group draw—maybe the most difficult in the 2014 World Cup—but they do have some talent, according to this 30-man pool Jurgen Klinsmann announced today. (This isn’t the final roster. That’ll be a 23-person squad which will travel to Brazil next month.)

Only nine of the 30 players on this roster made the trek to South Africa in 2010, a testament to the growth of the U.S. youth system. Of course the familiar names are there—Donovan, Dempsey, Howard—but one who isn’t, D.C. United forward Eddie Johnson, has surprised a few people.

Remember the names now: You’re going to be drunkenly screaming for them in just a few weeks.
