Twitter Users Awesomely Get High School Basketball Player with Down’s Syndrome on SportsCenter

Owen Groesser is a junior high school basketball player with Down's Syndrome, and last night he got in a game. This was a pretty big deal—it was the last game of the year, and his coach finally put him in for the season's last two minutes.

On his first play, Groesser stood behind the arc, received a pass, and hit a deep three. Then a minute later, boom, he hit another one. He'd finish the game with six points in only two minutes of play (similar stats, I think, to Miami last night), and afterward, his teammates and friends started a campaign on Twitter to get ESPN's attention. Soon #GetOwenOnSportsCenter was trending, and Scott Van Pelt took notice.

Which led to the video above.

Cool stuff, bros.
