Turkish Fans Boo Lustily During Moment Of Silence For Murdered Serbian Basketball Fan

Marko Ivkovic, a fan of Serbian basketball team Red Star Belgrade, was killed by a group of Turkish supporters on his way to a Euroleague game Friday night.

The Turkish Basketball Federation decided to have a moment of silence to honor his death before every game yesterday. But the moment of respect took a sad turn before Galatasaray and Besitkas tipped.

Instead of remaining silent, fans of each Turkish side decided it best to loudly boo and chant their country’s name. This type of behavior is so far out of bound that SEC fans think it’s classless.
