In a recent interview with WPBF News, longtime friend of Donald Sterling, Tommy Lasorda, was asked about the whole Donald Sterling/V. Stiviano situation. His answers came out swift and were made entirely of gold.
Right out of the gate we learn that Lasorda would make the perfect character witness in the case of Donald Sterling v. the NBA.
“I’ve been a friend of that guy’s for 30 years,” he said. “It doesn’t surprise me that he said those things. And he shouldn’t have said it. He just hurt himself by talking too much and doing things he shouldn’t be doing.”
When you’re accused of being a fuming racist, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, helps your case more than your friend corroborating the claim.
Then came this gem about V. Stiviano…
“And I don’t wish that girl any bad luck but I hope she gets hit with a car.”
Sure, sure. That may seem like a negative comment but in some cultures (see: none) getting hit by a car is like having rain on your wedding day; it sucks a forrest full of dicks in the moment, but ultimately it’s good luck.
