Tom Willis, a longtime baseball fan who was born without arms, threw out the first pitch before Thursday night’s Kansas City Royals game. With a mighty kick, he sent his toss through the air, landing it closer to the strike zone than most traditional throwers.
Willis is on a mission to throw out a first pitch at all 30 Major League ballparks. Kaufmann Stadium was the 22nd stop on his tour.
His performance reminds us, once again, just how woefully awful so many of our nation’s celebrities have fared in the same role. And they had arms!
