The Over-Under On The Number Of Games Tom Brady Will Be Suspended Is Shocking

When the Wells report dropped earlier this week, we knew it wasn’t good news for Tom Brady. But Las Vegas believes it’s going to be fairly devastating to the New England Patriots quarterback.

Bovada has set the over-under on Brady’s suspension at 3.5 games. There’s even a 5-1 bet on the board he’ll be banned for the entire 2015 season.

Perhaps I’m naive but if you had asked me yesterday if this thing was going to result in any actual time on the football field missed, I’d have said you’re crazy.

And yet, here we are.

It should be be noted Brady has started 13 consecutive seasons under center, the longest such streak in the NFL.

If I were a betting man, however, I would hammer the under on this. I simply can’t see the league taking an iron-first hard line on what seems to be a comparatively innocuous infraction.

God knows the comparisons to the Ray Rice suspension are going to come fast and furious.

Then again, it is the NFL, so who really knows?
