Tim Tebow was actually asked to be the “The Bachelor.” The show’s host, Chris Harrison, told "Access Hollywood" yesterday that he approached the Denver Broncos quarterback about being the guy who dramatically hands out roses to emotionally unstable women on national television.
“I’ve actually met Tim Tebow. I met him about becoming our next ‘Bachelor,’” Chris told [host] Kit Hoover. “I think he’d be a great ‘Bachelor.’”
“Was there any reception on his end?” an excited Kit asked.
“Well, they always say yes, but it never happens,” Chris explained. “He’s a really good guy.”
“Wait, but did he say yes?” Kit pressed.
“He did say yes… but he would never do it,” he continued. “He has a little job called quarterback at least for another year.”
Tebow, who was most recently linked to country music darling Taylor Swift, would be a fish out of water if ABC and his handlers actually let this happen. Anyone forced to watch the show by their girlfriend knows that more than half the time is spent drinking and in-fighting – two things by which Tebow doesn’t abide.
And then there’s the issue of the overnight dates, where The Bachelor takes his final three ladies for a test drive in the bedroom. A Tebow-led overnight date probably ends at 11 p.m. methinks.
The ratings, however, would just be mind-blowing.
