He saved more goals than any keeper in World Cup history, enshrining him as a United States sports legend. A warrior like Tim Howard didn’t deserve to lose that game, but the sports gods are fickle. We’re all pretty down in the dumps right now, but it almost brought a tear to my eye seeing Howard’s post-game interview with ESPN where he can barely get his words out between tears. It’s truly what being a competitor is all about. Much respect to you, Tim.
