Another major, another round of Nike uniform porn…another disappointing finish for golf’s former golden boy, Tiger Woods?
That remains to be seen, but not too many people are giving him a chance. Five years ago, I would have brushed the naysayers aside and said that shit only motivates him more to win and he’s going to prove chatterboxes like Brandel Chamblee wrong. But in 2015, I don’t know what motivates Tiger. Nor do I think he has that extra “fuck you for saying I can’t” gear for those days when he’s unable to find best stuff on the course. That said, without Rory in the picture, the shell of Tiger Woods is still the best chance for Nike in this major. Just look at the rest of Nike’s lineup… Paul Casey, David Duval, Tommy Fleetwood, Ross Fisher, Russell Henley, Francesco Molinari, Charl Schwartzel and Romain Wattel.
Not exactly a gaggle of superstars.
