Once a hot new dance craze that hit the south, "The Bernie," inspired by the critically ADORED film "Weekend at Bernies II," caught fire late in 2010. The dance, which really just needs to be seen (below), has infiltrated everywhere from end zones, to clubs, to every single frat pregame ever conducted since October 2010.
Now, it looks like the possibly playoff bound Oakland Athletics, who have recently been quite inspired by Bernie-related shenanigans, have added an interesting spin to the movement.
Capitalizing on the dancing corpse sensation currently gripping the city of Oakland, the Athletics have made the video you see below. It begins with the death of Coco Crisp via pop fly off the dome and his subsequent semi-resurrection. Dancing corpse hilarity ensues.
While yes, this is a bit odd, this whole "Bernie Lean" sh*t is clearly going to make or break the A's as they hit the stretch run.
