Telemundo’s Call Of Carli Lloyd’s 50-Yard Goal Was Almost Better Than The Goal Itself

If you were like me you were tuned to Fox when you were watching the U.S. women’s national team lay the wood to Japan in the World Cup finals Sunday night. Which meant that you didn’t have the pleasure of hearing Telemundo’s Andres Cantor’s call of Carli Lloyd’s ridiculous goal from mid-field to give her the fastest hat trick in Women’s World Cup history.

The always very intense Andres Cantor is no stranger to calls like this, always shouting the word “goal” for lengthy periods after impressive and important scores. However, as Timothy Burke of Deadspin pointed out last night, Cantor took it to new levels on Lloyd’s goal with this 38 second-long bellow for the ages.
