Steve Stone Turned in a Really Unenthusiastic Home Run Call

Wow.

Poor Steve Stone. All those years of working with Hawk Harrelson have robbed him of his spirit and left him unable to conjure up even a meager amount of enthusiasm.

Listen to his sad trombone call of White Sox catcher Tyler Flowers’ two-run home run in the 10th inning last night against the Minnesota Twins.

Someone get this guy some caffeine. Or an in-booth clown. Or … or something.

To be fair, it sounds like Stone was just confused as he originally thought the ball was fouled off.

To be completely unfair, this is a nice microcosm of the White Sox’ season. Even when good stuff happens, no one is particularly over the moon about it.
