Last night’s Minnesota Vikings-New York Giants game was an absolute stinker. I was there in person to witness each and every terrible Josh Freeman pass. That dude has a bright past and an extremely dim future.
When the garbage and fumbles cleared, the Giants were left with a 23-7 victory. Everyone was worse for the experience.
ESPN anchor and Dewey Beach expert Scott Van Pelt salvaged the whole situation with his lead-in to the postgame SportsCenter.
“Let’s just be honest,” he said. “You just spent three hours of your life doing that and now you can’t get it back. We’re all in this together. Let’s do this. Together until 1 a.m. Eastern time. Embrace what we are, we’re sports fans. Can’t turn it on and turn it off.”
Well said. Almost makes sitting through that abomination of a football game worthwhile.
