Troy Grosenick racked up 45 saves in his National Hockey League debut yesterday as the San Jose Sharks defeated the Carolina Hurricanes, 2-0. The rookie became just the 22nd player in league history to keep a clean sheet during his first game.
Grosenick’s father, Scott, was understandably moved by the moment.
Television cameras captured him both jumping for joy and having a solid MAN CRY.
Consider this your daily reminder that sports are not always awful.
